Researchers at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) have developed an ink that can be changed by "reprogramming" with the help of a projector.
The ink – called Photo Cromelion – is made using a light-colored pigment, which changes color when exposed to ultraviolet light.
The researchers mixed three different colors of the "cyan, magenta and yellow" dye with the paint, before the three colors were combined.
Sprinkle the resulting mixture onto an object, phone case, or other model and place it in front of a projector. Researchers design models on 3D computer models and display them on the desired object.
According to Business Insider, not only can patterns be displayed on models, but they can also be erased and redrawn.
Scientists give an example of the utility of this clothing innovation: the accessories can be modified according to the main outfit, the colors can be modified for different events on the same day and they hope to associate this technology with an ultimate 3D printing .
