Louie the Owl is no ordinary owl, but rather an animal whose job it is to provide emotional support to people with mental health issues. And this cute owl accompanied her owner on her recent mountaineering trips, as part of a campaign to help those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder and the stigma that haunts them.

According to Canada’s Good News, the pair recently embarked on a long-distance climb to South Wales’ highest peak, Ban-e-van, in a bid to raise awareness about mental health.

Speaking to British photographer Joan Randless, who accompanied them on the adventure, Gallo said: “People don’t realize how special Louie is, not just to me but to the people I let them wear. It’s such a special moment of love. ”

The man also created a Facebook page to raise awareness and learn more about his battles with post-traumatic stress disorder, with the aim of empowering readers to inspire others.

The father of three wrote: “I built this page from a desperate battle with my sanity and suicidal thoughts in hopes of making a difference and leaving a legacy of creativity and inspiration. ”

Recently, Gallo, Louie and another owl named Oscar have become familiar faces in Cardiff, working together to encourage others to join them in group challenges and meetings so that they too can take positive steps to overcome their fears.

PTSD, stress disorders, and mental health are really bad, Jaillo said, but the trip I’m on may light the way for those in need. strong, be honest, be you! “
