Manchester United were the only ones to lead the Premier League in football, defeating host Burnley on Tuesday with a goal in the postponed first-round game of the competition.
The “Red Devils” owe the victory to French striker Paul Pogba, who scored the game’s only goal in the 71st minute with a powerful shot at Al Tayer from outside the penalty area.
With this precious victory, Manchester United increased their tally to 36 points to find themselves alone in the lead, three points behind Liverpool, second.
