The American website “Axioz” revealed that Arab countries are awaiting the results of the American presidential elections before proceeding with normalization with Israel.
The website said in a report today, Thursday, that the White House is trying to use the momentum of the United Arab Emirates and Bahrain to sign two peace accords with Israel, to push more Arab countries to do so. not even before the elections, scheduled for November 3.
The report says that the administration of US President Donald Trump wants at least to push Sudan to declare the end of the state of hostility with Israel and the start of the normalization process.
He said the official Saudi position is based on resuming negotiations between the Israelis and the Palestinians, hoping that if Trump wins the election, he will seek to bring Saudi Arabia back to normalization.
Regarding Morocco’s position, the report indicates that its position on possible normalization depends more on the results of the American elections.
He expected that if Trump won, he would try to tie normalization between Rabat and Tel Aviv, with Washington’s recognition of Morocco’s sovereignty over Western Sahara.
And he saw that his Democratic rival, Joe Biden, would not agree to such a deal, apparently, which reduces the chances of normalization between Morocco and Israel if Trump is lost.
On the Sultanate of Oman, the site specifies that the new Sultan, Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, does not want to rush into this issue under the current circumstances.
The report cited expectations from US and Israeli officials that Oman would make a decision on possible normalization based on US election results.
The report said the United States was seeking to push Qatar down the path of normalization with Israel, but the ongoing Gulf dispute further complicated the issue.
According to the report, US officials have ensured that Israel’s normalization process with the UAE and Bahrain is underway, and they now feel that things are moving in the right direction and the need for their oversight of the process has declined.
