The junior volleyball team has managed to qualify for the quarter-finals of the World Championship held in Tunisia by beating Nigeria 3-0 in the last 16.
It is expected to meet the young team of the plane Wednesday in the quarterfinals with Belarus after beating the Czech Republic 3-0 in eighths as well.
Egypt qualified for the round of 16 as the first group C by imposing four times against Germany, Argentina and Japan to meet the fourth Nigerian group, Nigeria.
The youngsters won their first match against Germany, champion of Europe, 3-2, before defeating Argentina 3-1 in their second meeting, then beating Japan 3-2 and Mexico 3-0.
The Egyptian team includes Mohamed Elwan, Omar Degiam, Ahmed Abdel Azim, Marwan El Naggar, Abdel Rahman El Husseini, Anas Mohamed, Karim Ibrahim, Iyad Mohamed, Mohamed El Orabi, Youssef Naseer, Youssef Gaafar and Ibrahim Raslan.
