The documentary "Out of Neverland", which tells two young men that the late singer Michael Jackson was harassed, continues to arouse angry reactions from his fans and also calls for a boycott of his work elsewhere. The late singer's daughter commented on the allegations that she thought her family needed to defend her father, but added that it was not her "role" to do so and advised her fans to relax and calm down.
Meanwhile, the Louis Vuitton fashion house has released Michael Jackson-inspired products from its 2019 men's clothing group after showing a documentary that allegedly molested the dead pop star with children, the agency reported yesterday. Reuters.
The program was presented in January at Paris Fashion Week and is expected to be presented in stores in June. But a spokeswoman for Louis Vuitton said the Jackson-inspired products would not go on sale.
The company had said at the time not to be aware of Living Neverland, a documentary in which two older men report that Jackson inflicted sexual violence on them in their youth.
The documentary provoked angry reactions from Jackson: some Australian and Canadian radio stations stopped broadcasting his songs and the producer of The Simpsons released an episode in which Jackson appeared. The Jackson family called the media coverage of the charges of "public execution without trial" and stated that he was "100% innocent".
"We consider that the allegations contained in the documentary are very disturbing," said Michael Brooke, CEO of Louis Vuitton, adding that the company was committed to supporting the cause of child protection.
