With Windows 11 now kicking off a few weeks later, Microsoft is working hard to update some of its most used tools.
The company revealed that Microsoft Edge is configured for a Windows 11 compatible product that makes it easier to navigate your favorite web pages.
Plus, your web browser will be much easier thanks to a new design that hides that annoying slider from view when you don’t need it.
Edge makeover update
The new scroll bar design in Microsoft Edge on Windows 11 has a slim design that takes up less space, making more room for the pages you really want to see.
The new overlay slider matches the look of most apps we’ve seen so far in Windows 11, including the redesigned File Explorer and Settings tools.
To enjoy the new look, you must be a member of the Edge Insider program and run the latest Canary version of Edge. When enabled, go to the Edge Flax menu, search for “Overlay Scrollbars” and select the flag to enable the feature.
This is the latest update for News Edge because Microsoft wants to prepare its browser for Windows 11.
The company recently revealed that Canary users can turn on another flag Enable Windows 11 Updates This will allow users to see the “progress views appropriate for the currently installed version of Windows,” which means users will receive the latest updates soon.
Microsoft recently started telling Windows 10 test devices that their PCs are compatible with upgrading to Windows 11 using the recently updated preview version of Microsoft’s PC Health Checkup tool. Assuming all is well, users will receive the following message: “Good news: Your PC meets the minimum system requirements for Windows 11. The exact delivery time will vary as we prepare for you.” Note: Some Windows 10 features are not available in Windows 11. Some apps and features may have additional requirements.
