Microsoft intends to support Chrome extensions in the next EDGE release

Microsoft has confirmed its intention to support the new version of its Chrome-based Chrome browser extensions.

This is very good news – if it really works – for those who wish to upgrade to EDGE, but do not have the variety of plug-ins it contains, and you can now easily transfer the same extensions that you use with Chrome to the new version of EDGE and will work without problems.

Of course, Microsoft is studying it and intends to do it, but there is currently no confirmation. Microsoft announced last week, when the new version of the Edge was announced, that internal changes needed to be made to the browser in the year following its launch. Of course, these changes include support for the Chrome extension.

In the end, Google's open-source Chromium project seems to have triumphed until Microsoft starts to switch it, but Edge's success, which runs on Chromium, depends on Microsoft's special keys and additions that we will not find in Chrome or any other Chrome-based browser.
