Microsoft is developing a new tool that allows users to run executables (.exe) without harming Windows by creating a virtual environment within the system.

According to the Arab technical information portal, the new tool will be simple to use for users of a Windows 10 device, which will allow them to run applications in an isolated desktop environment.

The new tool will call "Windows Sandbox" and will be part of Windows 10 next year. It will serve as a temporary desktop environment to isolate a particular application from the rest of the system.

Microsoft explained that the tool was designed to be safe and that it can be eliminated. So, when the user has finished running the application in this mode, the entire protection mode will be deleted. Users will no longer be required to configure a default device, but this will require activation of virtual emulation in the BIOS.

Whenever a user wants to experience a program, the Windows Sandbox tool creates a 100 MB version of Windows where the program can be tested.

Microsoft uses its hypervisor to create a separate kernel isolated from the host computer. Windows 10 users will be able to test the new tool with version 18305 or later.
