Microsoft provides cloud computing with Windows 365

Microsoft is putting Windows in the cloud and announcing Windows 365, a new service that allows businesses to access their cloud computers from anywhere and stream any version of Windows 10 or Windows 11 to a web browser.

According to the Arab Gateway for Technical News, despite the existence of virtualization and remote access for personal computers for more than a decade, Microsoft is betting on Windows 365 to provide cloud computing devices to enterprises as ‘they evolve into a mix of office work and work.

Windows 365 works through any modern web browser or through Microsoft’s Remote Desktop app, allowing users to access cloud computers from a variety of devices.

The company said: Windows 365 offers an instant start experience, this instant access allows workers to stream Windows sessions using all of their apps, tools, data and settings on Mac, iPad, Linux and Android devices, and you can pick up where you left off. , because the state of the cloud remains the same until the device is changed.

Windows 365 for business is not available until launch on August 2 for a monthly subscription per user.

Microsoft isn’t providing exact pricing details until the service launches next month, but Windows 365 is designed for individual businesses and organizations with thousands of employees.

There are two editions of Windows 365: Business and Enterprise. Both are supported by Azure Virtual Desktop.

Single cloud computers can be configured with a single processor, 2 GB of RAM and 64 GB of storage, and can be expanded up to eight processors, 32 GB of RAM, and 512 GB of storage.

The company offers 12 different configurations for Windows 365 Business and Windows 365 Enterprise.

Businesses are able to expand their processing power to have more options.

Microsoft announces Windows 365

Microsoft’s Windows offering in the cloud isn’t much different from the many options businesses can choose with virtualization right now.

The company introduced similar technology with Azure Virtual Desktop. Citrix has been offering cloud-hosted desktops for years.

Microsoft tries to differentiate itself through ease of use and management. Windows 365 made a big difference for organizations that wanted to try virtualization for various reasons but couldn’t.

Businesses are able to set up cloud computers in minutes and assign them to employees, avoiding the need for dedicated physical hardware.

This can be attractive to many companies that employ remote workers or even temporary contract workers who need secure access to the company network.

And since your Windows PC is entirely in the cloud, employees won’t need to browse VPNs or worry about security on personal devices.

The pandemic has sped up work on Windows 365 and Microsoft’s broader focus on hybrid work.
