Microsoft has announced that it will not support Windows 10 Mobile for smartphones as of December 10.
The company invited users to use other paid or third-party software, and recommended switching to devices supported by Android or iOS.
Windows 10 Mobile users will not receive new security updates, hotfixes, free support options, or free online technical updates from Microsoft.
She explained that the 1709 version of Windows 10 is the only version that you will be able to support until that date.
For Microsoft Lumia 640 phones, the 1703 version will end on June 11th.
However, the company explained that once support is complete, automatic or manual backups of new settings and application backups would continue for three months ending March 10, 2020.
Some services, including downloading images and restoring a backup, may continue for up to 12 months after the end of the support.
For applications, developers (including Microsoft) will be able to terminate support for any application at any time.
