LONDON (Reuters) – Liverpool midfielder James Milner has described his compatriot Mohammed Salah as a world-class player after leading the English club to the last 16 in the Champions League on Tuesday.
Liverpool beat Napoli in the sixth and final group stage.
Egypt scored the winner in the 34th minute.
"Mohamed Salah is the key to our victory, he's a world class player, he's done it for us again," Milner said in remarks published by the BBC.
"Our match against Naples has been very difficult, it's a good team, I think we've done very well."
"We knew we had to defend this game well, we did it for a few minutes."
