An official source at the Home Office said that based on what the Health Department has raised about the spread of a new mutated type of emerging corona virus (Covid-19) in a number of countries, and until medical information on the nature of this virus becomes clear, and the desire to take urgent action to protect the public health of citizens. And the inhabitants and ensuring their safety, the government of the Kingdom has decided to take the following precautionary measures:
Firstly: suspension of all international flights for travelers – except in exceptional cases – temporarily for a period of one week, which may be extended by an additional week, with the exception of foreign flights which are currently in the territory of Kingdom, so that they are allowed to go.
Second: to temporarily suspend entry into the Kingdom through land and sea ports for a period of one week, which may be extended for an additional week.
Third: Anyone who has returned from one of the European countries or any country where the epidemic occurred, as determined by the Ministry of Health on 04/23/1442 AH corresponding to 12/08/2020 and up to ” on that date, must meet the following conditions:
1 / Home isolation for a period of two weeks from the date of his arrival in the Kingdom.
2 / Perform an examination for the new Corona virus (Covid 19) during its isolation period, with a new examination every 5 days.
Fourth: Anyone who has returned or passed through a European country or any country where the epidemic has occurred – in the past 3 months – should take an examination for the emerging corona virus (Covid-19).
The above excludes the movement of goods, commodities and supply chains from countries where the mutated virus has not appeared, as determined by the Ministry of Health in coordination with the Ministry of Transport.
These procedures will be reviewed in light of developments related to the pandemic and what is received from the Ministry of Health.
