Liverpool announced Monday that Mohammed Salah had won a new prize in his career.
Salah won the 2018 Player of the Year award from the Football Association at a ceremony held tonight in London.
Salah has a list of Liverpool players, Virgil van Dijk, Manchester City duo Rahim Stirling, Sergio Aguero, Eddin Hazard of Chelsea and Harry Maguire of Leicester City. The 26-year-old won nearly 366,000 votes in the referendum.
Salah is the third Liverpool player to receive this award after Uruguayan Luis Suarez in 2013 and Brazilian Philippe Coutinho in 2016.
"Thank you for this price, which means a lot to me because it is awarded to the masses," said Salah commenting on the award.
"I usually share the rewards I receive with my team and all Liverpool staff, but on this occasion, I would also like to thank them for their support, thank you."
