The Turkish public has reacted strongly to Salah's tweet, tweeting tens of thousands of "likes" in a short time.
Istanbul will host Wednesday's Champions League match between Liverpool and Chelsea.
Liverpool is the English Premier League triple club, followed by Manchester United, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
