Liverpool star Mohamed Salah was surprised by a tweet on Tuesday before the European Super League 2019/2020.
Salah paid tribute in Turkish to football fans in Turkey and wrote in his Twitter tweet in Turkish "Merhaba Türkiye" (Hello Turkey), after his team arrived in Istanbul on a private plane.
The Turkish public has reacted strongly to Salah's tweet, tweeting tens of thousands of "likes" in a short time.
Istanbul will host Wednesday's Champions League match between Liverpool and Chelsea.
Liverpool is the English Premier League triple club, followed by Manchester United, Chelsea, Nottingham Forest and Aston Villa.
