Mohammed Salah Wins BBC African Player of the Year Award for 2018

Egyptian Mohamed Salah won for the second year in a row the BBC African Player of the Year Award for 2018.

Salah defeated Morocco's Mehdi Ben Attia, Senegal's Sadio Mani, Ghana's Thomas Barty and Senegal's Calido Coulibaly.

Salah won the award last year during an outstanding season with Liverpool and Egypt.

Salah is currently the top scorer in the English Premier League with ten goals, tied with Gabon's Pierre Emeric Obamyang.

He also led Salah to the knockout stages of the Champions League, having scored three goals in the group stage, including a goal against Napoli in a crucial match, the Egyptian's 13th goal in his appearances in the Champions League for become the second-leading scorer in Liverpool.
