Moisturizers are associated with fires

A UK regulator, using a moisturizer to treat dry, itchy skin, warned that it could accumulate on tissues, resulting in an easy fire.
The UK Medicines and Healthcare Product Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has recommended the need to print clear warnings on product packaging to alert consumers about these risks.
The agency explains that she has learned more than 50 deaths for this reason, reported by fire and rescue services. People should not stop using creams, but they should be aware of the risks, the agency said. The washing of clothes and bedding covers well, which reduces the accumulation of product in the tissues, but that does not eliminate it completely.
It was previously thought that the danger came from hydrating creams containing 50% paraffin, but the evidence suggests that there is a risk for all moisturizers, including without paraffin.
