Morocco has announced its decision to participate in the 2019 Nations Cup of Nations after the African Union withdrew the match from Cameroon.
Moroccan Minister of Youth and Sports Rachid Talbi al-Alami told the Moroccan sports channel on Wednesday that his country would not participate in the continental tournament.
CAF has opened a new nomination to name a host country for the first summer edition with 24 participants.

Several reports in recent days have designated Morocco to compensate Cameroon for the Africa Cup of Nations, given the country's willingness to organize the tournament and provide it with stadiums and infrastructure to ensure the tournament success.
South Africa has also become one of the best candidates for the tournament with Cameroon in its final version (2017).
South Africa was the host country for the 2013 version instead of Libya, the latter having withdrawn from its hosting role due to the political and security situation. Morocco was to host the 2015 edition, but has apologized for fears of the spread of the Ebola virus.
