Motorola has decided to enter the television market after unveiling a host of new smart TVs equipped with Google's Android TV system.
Motorola has announced the brand's new line of smart TVs in India, a country where OnePlus is also expected to launch its first smart TV later this week. The new Motorola Smart TVs will be available in sizes ranging from 32 to 65 inches, knowing that they use Android 9.0 TV and support HDR and Dolby Vision content.
TVs larger than 43 inches will have 4K resolution, while smaller TVs will have FullHD resolution. Inside, these TVs will be equipped with an ARM Mali 450 processor and 2.25 GB of RAM to run Android applications and games. In addition, it will also include 16 GB of internal memory. All models will be on sale from September 29 via the FlipKart online store. Unfortunately, we currently have no information as to whether Motorola plans to launch these TVs worldwide.
We hope Motorola will do that, and OnePlus will do it with its next Smart TV later this month. Specifically, OnePlus told us that it would launch its Smart TV in India first, but it is planned to install in China, then the United States and Europe.
The next OnePlus TV will also come with Android TV and will work in full compatibility with the company's smartphones, providing a truly responsive system. Motorola's thinking will likely be similar to OnePlus.
