The draw for the quarter-finals of the African Champions League led Al-Ahli's first team in a fierce showdown against South Africa's Sun Dunes.
This happened during a recent draw at a Cairo hotel to determine the quarterfinals of the African Champions League and the Africa Cup of Nations.
The road of the semi-finals was held as follows:
Winner of the third match (Houria x Wydad) × Winner of the second match (Sun Downs × Al Ahly)
Winner of the fourth match (Simba x Mazembe) × Winner of the match (Constantine Esperance)
The semi-finals will take place on April 26th and 27th at the first team stadium, while the return match will take place on May 3rd or 4th.
Al Ahli will face the return match in the semi-finals if he qualifies at home in Egypt.
Two finals will be played on May 24th and 25th and one on May 31st and June 1st. Al Ahly will qualify for the first leg at home.
The African Champions League draw, Sayed Abdel Hafiz, director of the Red Giant Ahli football club, will be tackled by Ahli Sun Downs' team in the first match of 5-6 April at stadium, the return leg in Cairo on 12-13 of the same month.
Ahly is qualified for this role after occupying first place in the fourth group with 10 points and qualified with Simba Tanzanian after finishing second with 9 points.
