The Arab League is due to pay tribute to Lebanese filmmaker Nadine Labaki for supporting and supporting issues related to children's rights through her film Capernaum and laureate of the jury of the 71st Cannes Film Festival in 2018.
The award coincides with the commercial launch of Capernaum in the region, launched this week in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan and Syria.
The director has visited some of these capitals and the shows have been donated to associations performing humanitarian work.
Capernaum has been nominated for prestigious international awards, including the Oscar for best foreign film of 2019.
