Nadine Labaki honored to launch the study on child labor in Arab countries

The League of Arab States launched Thursday, March 7 a regional study entitled "Child Labor in the Arab States" in collaboration with the International Labor Organization, the Arab Labor Organization, the Arab Council for Children and Development and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) at the headquarters of the League of Arab States.

Recognizing the role of Lebanese filmmaker Nadine Labaki in supporting the defense of children's rights through her award-winning film "Capernaum" at the 71st Cannes International Film Festival in 2018, she has been nominated for numerous international awards, including the Oscar for best foreign film, Activities of his efforts in this field.

The prize coincides with the screening of the film "Capernaum" in the United Arab Emirates, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Jordan and Syria. The director visited some of these capitals and allocated profits to associations performing humanitarian work.
