Ali Abu Gresheh, star of the Egyptian national team and the Ismaili club, has revealed that Mohamed Mahmoud, the Al-Ahly player, has agreed to join the ranks of the Dervishes during the ongoing winter transfer period.
Abu Gresheh said in radio statements today, Tuesday, that he recently visited the Al-Ahly club, accompanied by Imad Suleiman, and held a meeting with Sayed Abdel Hafeez, director of football, and Mahmoud Al-Khatib, club president, to ask to borrow players from the red team.
He added: “We were very well received by Mahmoud Al-Khatib, chairman of Al-Ahly, and he told club officials to implement all our requests.”
And he continued his words: “We asked 3 players from Al-Ahly and Al-Khatib, who agreed, subject to the approval of these players, and who comes to the forefront of Muhammad Mahmoud, who has agreed to play in the Ismaili ranks, and there is also the name of Rami Rabia, but he has not made his final decision regarding the move to Dervish Castle.
The Ismaily administration is trying to bolster the squad’s ranks with strong deals from both poles in an effort to improve the team’s position in the Egyptian standings, after falling to thirteenth place with 7 points.
