NASA takes a step forward to refuel its vehicles in space

NASA has successfully demonstrated the effectiveness of the first of three tools designed to refuel spacecraft in the space just outside the International Space Station.

NASA's Robotic Supplemental Fuel 3 mission has finally reached a new milestone, with the agency's tool successfully managing a special transformer able to switch from fuel to supercooled – for example methane, gasoline, and gasoline. 39, oxygen or hydrogen – and carry it in a special coupler in another fuel tank.

This project could allow us one day to refuel our spacecraft – liquid methane, for example – from distant worlds, which is very important, as the future exploration of distant worlds – the Moon or Mars – will depend on our ability to refuel our spacecraft in space.
