Yahya Aboul Fotouh, vice president of the NCB, said that the ALICO committee had met exceptionally today, after the central bank's decision to reduce benchmark interest rates and to reduce the performance of platinum certificates by 3 percentage points by one full percentage point.
Abul-Fotouh, in comments to Habi Journal's portal, said the committee had also decided to lower the interest rate of variable-yield certificates by the same amount as that of the central bank, which had reduced by 1 , 5 percentage points, to achieve a yield of 14.5%.
The Vice President said the three-year Platinum Certificates return would be 14% and 14.25% instead of 15 and 15.25%.
