Costa Rican goalkeeper Keylor Navas has asked to leave Real Madrid, the press reported on Thursday.
According to the Spanish newspaper "Marca", Navas is not satisfied with the Royal Club after the decline of his role in the team.
Real coach Zinedine Zidane has said several times that Belgium's Thibaut Courtois will remain the club's main goalkeeper, which would have had a negative impact on Navas.
Navas was about to leave Paris St Germain but the affair was not complete.
Real may have to look for a new goalkeeper in anticipation of Navas' departure, Marca said.
After five years at the club, Navas will start with three UEFA Champions League titles, a La Liga title, three European Super Cups, four Club World Cups and another Super Cup.
The 32-year-old Costa Rican joined Real Madrid in 2014 from Levante for 10 million euros. He made his La Liga debut with Real Madrid on September 23 of the same year while he was competing for the goaltender of Spanish goalkeeper Iker Casillas.
In the summer of 2015, Navas had a turning point in his career at Real Madrid when the contract signed between David De Gea and Manchester United failed at the last minute.
Since then, despite the suspicions that surround him, Navas has become the main goalkeeper of Real Madrid under the direction of French coach Zinedine Zidane. He has won three consecutive titles in the Champions League in 2016, 2017 and 2018.
However, Navas' fortune dramatically changed last summer when Real signed the contract with Courtois. His role in the club was dramatic and he played mainly in the Champions League only under the reign of former Spanish coach Julien Lopetegui. Local league and cup championships.
With Zidane back and Courtois put away, Navas is back in the starting lineup and appears to be about to regain control and extend his influence on the center back, but it did not last long after Courtois's recovery.
