Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said that the recently signed peace accords between his country and a number of Arab countries are a bridge that Israel is building and that many will cross later.
In a joint press conference with Bahraini Foreign Minister Abdul Latif Al-Zayani and US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo, on tour in the Middle East, Netanyahu stressed the importance of the peace accords recently signed between his country and the Arab countries.
He said 3 peace agreements had been reached in 6 weeks, explaining that peace with Bahrain rests on solid foundations, explaining that Israel and Bahrain had been in contact for years before the agreement was signed.
Last Sunday, the Israeli government ratified the declaration of establishment of diplomatic relations with Bahrain, and more than a week ago, the Israeli Knesset (Parliament) approved the declaration of peace with the Kingdom of Bahrain by a majority of 62 votes and 14 against.
In mid-September, the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain and Israel signed peace accords at the White House, under the auspices of US President Donald Trump. 4 copies have been signed; Two copies in Arabic, a third in English and a fourth in Hebrew.
On August 31, the first Israeli plane landed at Abu Dhabi Airport, carrying a US-Israeli delegation, led by Jared Kushner, Trump’s adviser and son-in-law, ahead of the signing of the peace agreement with the Arab Emirates United.
