Capcom has released a new trailer showcasing Akira’s gameplay in Street Fighter 5: Champion Edition. While a lot of things about Akira in Street Fighter 5 were revealed when the last summer update aired, this trailer gives us a bit more information about the character to come.
For the first time, we hear Akira’s English voice. At the start of every match, he can be heard saying “If I go too far, please forgive me!”
As you would expect from a Rival Schools character, Akira’s collected aerial play is pretty cool. Just watching her play an aerial group in her Street Fighter 5 trailer might make you think it was actually a Marvel vs Capcom title.
Capcom’s Matthew Edwards noted that he had a lot of fun checking out the collection featured in the trailer. He then leaves evidence that there might be some hidden gadgets with Akira’s V-Skill 2, Tsutenda.
I had so much fun discovering this ๐ The crew asked me to create footage of the Akira trailer and it was my favorite.
I’m a little surprised he did the final cut! This should mean that V-Skill 2 has a lot more to offer. Monday Leadership ๐๐๐๐ https://t.co/2Bil9POjGP

Akira’s V-Trigger 1, Otoko no Senaka, enlists his older brother, Daigo Kazama, to help him with some of his signature attacks. By combining a few attacks between Daigo’s strikes, unique combos are possible.
Keep in mind that Oro and Akira Kazama are slated for release tomorrow, August 16. Check out Akira’s new trailer below:
