Algeria, Lebanon, Libya and Yemen on Saturday welcomed the declaration by the State of Kuwait, and Algerian Foreign Minister Sabri Boukadoum said his country “supports Kuwait’s efforts, hoping that ‘he succeeds and does good for all the peoples of the region “.
This happened during a press conference with his Italian counterpart Luigi Di Maio, who is visiting the country, according to what was quoted by official Algerian radio.
Boukadoum reaffirmed that “Algeria’s position of principle supports all efforts aimed at promoting political solutions to crises”.
Meanwhile, the Lebanese Foreign and Expatriate Ministry said: “We welcome the progress made in the talks aimed at reaching a final agreement for Gulf reconciliation.”
In a statement, she expressed her “aspiration to make more joint Arab efforts to ensure the security, stability and prosperity of our Arab peoples and countries.”
Libya also welcomed Kuwait’s statement, while its foreign ministry spokesman Muhammad al-Qiblawi affirmed “his country’s continued support for all efforts aimed at resolving Arab crises and disputes. .
In a tweet on Twitter, Al-Kablawi shared his country’s aspirations, “until these efforts soon lead to the final agreement to achieve the desired stability in the region for the benefit of its people.” .
In turn, the Yemeni government praised Kuwait’s statement, expressed in a statement by the Foreign Ministry, cited by the Yemeni official agency “Saba”, for its recognition for the efforts made to achieve reconciliation in the Gulf .
Mauritania expressed its satisfaction at having “remedied the disagreement between brothers in the Arab Gulf region”, stressing that it followed with great satisfaction the good efforts that Kuwait has been making for some time in this regard.
She said in a statement to her Foreign Ministry: “While praising this initiative, she hopes to succeed in achieving a reconciliation that will end the current crisis and enable the Gulf Cooperation Council to cope. regional and international challenges. “
Morocco also praised “the efforts of the State of Kuwait to reconcile visions and bridge the gap between the inhabitants of the Gulf House, and it also appreciates the positive role of the United States of America in this regard” .
He added, in a statement to his foreign ministry, that he “expresses his hope that a final agreement will be found to close the page of the dispute, in order to allow the Gulf Cooperation Council countries to restore cohesion. and harmony, and to strengthen stability in the region and the unity of the Arab ranks “.
On Friday, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, Antonio Guterres, the Secretary-General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation, Yusef Al-Othaimeen, the Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Nayef Al-Hajraf, in addition of the Jordanian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Palestinian Presidency, welcomed the statement of the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs regarding the Gulf crisis and the development of efforts to resolve it.
Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Ahmed Nasser Al-Sabah on Friday revealed recent “fruitful” talks in the context of reconciliation and support and achievement of Gulf solidarity and stability and Arabs.
The German news agency also quoted Kuwaiti Deputy Foreign Minister Khaled Al-Jarallah as saying: “The Gulf crisis has been closed and a final deal has been reached.”
It was remarkable that Qatar and Saudi Arabia hailed reconciliation and ignored the UAE and Bahrain, after the State of Qatar hailed Kuwait’s declaration and viewed it as an important step on the road to settlement of the conflict, and expressed thanks for Kuwait’s efforts since the onset of the crisis.
