New Gmail app fights phishing messages

Google has announced the launch of a new version of the mobile messaging app equipped with Google Android and Apple OSOS.

The company said the benefits of the application were not limited to the new design available in other Google applications, but also warned the user of phishing messages in the inbox by way of many instructions.

The new version also offers the ability to call attachments such as images directly from the inbox, without having to open the email or even send it. If the user uses e-mail for private and professional purposes, he will be able to move faster in the application.

Phishing attacks typically involve trying to obtain users' information by forcing them to click on fake web site links in emails that appear to come from trusted companies or financial and government institutions such as the banks.
