The two teens charged with the death of the Uber driver in Washington, DC, are due in court today. The two girls, aged 13 and 15, were charged with murder and car theft after the death of Muhammad Anwar, 66.

Police said car thefts in the capital have increased significantly this year, with 101 auto thefts so far in 2021, down from just 22 at the same time last year, according to WUSA reports.
The report said at least 19 arrests were linked to car thefts, including at least one incident, and at least four other teenagers were arrested for carjackings last week.
