MADRID (Reuters) – Real Madrid striker Tony Crosse will be out of the team for several weeks after suffering a second-degree injury to his left muscles, Real Madrid reported on Tuesday.
The German international was injured when Real Madrid sank 2-0 to Real Sociedad on Sunday during the 18th day of the Spanish league.
Real should face Leganis Wednesday in the first round of the Copa del Rey, then Real Betis in the league next weekend.
Marco Ascencio, Gareth Bell and Marcos Llorente of Real Madrid are missing muscle injuries.
It should be noted that this is the first time that Crosse has suffered a muscle injury since entering Real Madrid after leaving Bayern Munich in 2014.
The midfielder had already been injured in the leg and knee.
Lacrosse should be absent for at least three weeks and will not participate in Real Betis, the next two league games against Sevilla and Espanyol, as well as in the quarterfinals of the King's Cup if Real qualifies.
