Events of the day – NEW YORK (Reuters Health) – Two million cancer patients may be able to eradicate the disease with the new T cell receptor-based T cell drug, according to new research findings.

Healing people with advanced cancer, breast, lungs and mesothelioma is often impossible because many patients die despite treatment.

The American Society for Cancer Research recently presented an early-stage clinical trial, the first of its kind in immunotherapy, that reduces tumors and reduces cancer rates by 50% in mesothelioma patients.

Researchers at Memorial Sloan Kettering in New York have seen improvements in patients after a single dose of treatment.
