The first Saudi woman obtained a business license in the circle of the central vegetable and fruit market in Jeddah, after completing her papers and extracting a trade register in her name.
Citizen Salha Al-Kuraithi, owner of the first permit according to “Mecca”, confirmed that she is proud of her job, because she broke the rule, and proved to everyone that there is no social barriers to honest work, even in the vegetable and fruit markets.
She explained that the woman, from her experience in the kitchen, has a perfect knowledge of good vegetables and fruits, and this is what qualifies her to be successful in this field, noting that one of the reasons for her success is that she gets the full support of her family, especially her husband and son, who help her transport and store the goods.
And about the beginning of his reflection on the work in this field, Al-Kuraithy said: “My husband and my son work in the same field, and when my husband saw that this work brought him abundant income, he m ‘offered to leave my job and work with them, so I accepted and checked out a trade register and got the license. “
She said her daily work schedule starts early in the morning, bringing vegetables from suppliers to the central market, then sorting and arranging them until customers come to start selling.
