A person stabbed Sheikh Ali al-Sheikh, imam and preacher of Al-Zainab Mosque in Al-Namas, before boarding the Friday prayer platform. The blow struck the shoulder of the imam and was taken to the general hospital of Al-Namas to be treated there.
The director of the branch of the Ministry of Islamic Affairs in Namas Province, Sheikh Abdullah Nasser, said that the group of mosques had rushed to rid Khatib of the attacker of the group of forty, who was mocking from the entrance door after stabbing near the shoulder and handed the head to the security authorities.
For his part, Khatib Sheikh Ali al-Sheikh, a 50-year-old mosque imam and preacher for more than 20 years, explained that, sitting in the mosque in front of the tribune, the man had stabbed him with anger and that the faithful were rushed to control him and take him to the hospital.
He added that he had no disagreement with the man, and that he did not know the reason for his surprise attack, but the certainty will certainly be with the security authorities who have took over the case, while reassuring the governor of Alnmas that all the Sheikh visited him at the hospital.
