The president of the Saudi Golf Federation, Yasser Al-Ramian, has revealed the existence of a construction project of 13 playgrounds in 13 regions of the kingdom during the coming period.
Al-Rumian said the Kingdom currently has 6 professional courts, 5 sand dunes and 3 small 9-hole courts, adding that the new stadiums will vary between luxury and regular.
He added that the goal of the federation was to make golf a popular and accessible activity for all men, women and children, stressing that the trend was towards expanding the creation of academies and schools to teach sport. .
He stressed that the main goal of the federation is to raise the level of Saudi players to allow the world champions to face it, indicating that the Kingdom has 6,000 golfers restricted in the federation to 220 players, a very small number for Europe.
