He said, during his interview on “Ya Hala” on the “Rotana Khalijia” channel, that the health insurance system was not well established and a time passed without revision, expressing his optimism that the hand reform will soon reach it.

For his part, the spokesperson for the Cooperative Health Insurance Council, Othman Al-Qasabi, explained that health insurance for individuals had been available for 17 years, but not compulsory.

He added that there is cooperation between the Health Insurance Board and the Central Bank to develop health insurance for individuals, stressing that there are initiatives to modernize voluntary insurance for individuals who will soon see the day.
