The late artist’s son, Abdel Hussein Abdel Reda, has confirmed that there is coordination between him and the General Entertainment Authority regarding the placement of his father’s statue in Riyadh.
Bashar Abdel Reda added, according to the Kuwaiti newspaper “Al-Rai”, that the statue will be life-size and that it will be displayed on “Riyadh Boulevard”, during the activities of the Riyadh entertainment season.
He pointed out that the statue is made of silicone, due to the difficulty of implementing it from wax, as it is not suitable for hot temperatures, as it was made in a global workshop in a foreign country.
The head of the General Entertainment Authority, Turki Al-Sheikh, had earlier announced that there were plenty of surprises in the works for Gulf stars during Riyadh’s season, including Abdul-Hussein Abdul-Ridha.
