The survey, conducted by the American magazine, indicated that each of the ten categories has a standard shape with major safety features, and the different car models were chosen from hundreds of current models, depending on the achievement of the Highest overall scores in road tests, expected reliability, owner satisfaction and safety.
The survey added that it took into account the models recommended by customers in addition to the effectiveness of the forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking and the effectiveness of the pedestrian detection function.
Top 10 cars
Cars from Mazda, Toyota and Lexus have continued to make cars that are top rated for reliability year after year.
And this year, they’re joined in the top 5 by Buick and Honda, brands that have seen significant improvement in their rankings.
Buick’s performance has improved this year, climbing 14 spots from last year, while Honda is improving steadily.
Mazda placed first on the list with 83 out of 100 points. Experts have described the MX-5 Miata, CX-30 and CX-3 as the most reliable models.
The second place went to Japanese automaker “Toyota”, which scored 74 points, and experts praised the Prius, Corolla and Prius Prime models.
Lexus placed third, with its UX, NX and GX models.
From fourth to tenth place came the cars: “Buick”, “Honda”, “Hyundai”, “Ram”, Subaru, “Porsche” and “Dodge”, respectively.
