The secretary general of the Association, Sheikh Mohammed al-Issa, has denied the existence of an agreement between the Kingdom and the Vatican for the construction of churches in Saudi Arabia.
"There is a memorandum of understanding between the Islamic League and the Vatican, represented by the Pontifical Council for Interfaith Dialogue," he said in an interview with Russia Today.
He stressed that this memorandum is important to work on reciprocal relations with the Vatican, stressing that they are many participants of humanity and values agreed by all religions, especially Islam and Christianity.
He stressed the existence of continued cooperation and sustained efforts between the Association and the Vatican, stressing that during his recent visit to the Vatican Dialogue House, he aimed to serve the interests of all humanity.
