The Minister of Trade and Investment, Majid al-Kasabi, said that four major Saudi companies are ready to enter the Iraqi market in various sectors targeted by the Iraqi side.
The meeting took place on the sidelines of the meetings held on Thursday in Baghdad in the Iraqi capital as part of the second session of the Saudi-Iraqi Coordination Council led by the Minister of Trade and Investment, Majid al-Hariri. Al-Qasabi said the four companies were: Aramco to invest in a gas aggregation project, SABIC to invest in the construction of a petrochemical plant, Ma & ad aden for phosphates, Fertilizers and aluminum and Acquabauer for its investments in a grid and renewable energy project.
Mr Al-Khussabi stressed the kingdom's willingness to support Iraq in order to develop infrastructure and development projects, regulations and laws, to simplify procedures to cope with global changes, so to create an attractive environment for investments.
