Today (Monday), General Entertainment Authority chairman Turki Al-Sheikh announced the start of the second edition of the Riyadh season, reviewing the authority’s achievements through October 2021.
During the periodical press conference for the government’s communication, with the participation of the Minister of Information in charge, Dr Majid Al-Qasabi, on the achievements of the authority, he indicated that more than 2,300 companies operating in the entertainment sector have helped organize 2,500 events, train and employ over 100,000 people, and issue 4,400 licenses and permits.
Regarding the Riyadh season, he confirmed that the season will start on October 20 and will include 14 zones, and entry will be free in 4 zones, highlighting the continuity of activities in the “Via Riyadh” and “The Boulevard” zones even after the end. of the season.
He pointed out that the prices will be different in each region, noting that the season includes 2,500 events, 10 international exhibitions, 6 concerts, 100 interactive experiences and 18 Arabic plays.
Al-Sheikh stressed that the concerts do not exceed 2% of the activities of the “Riyad Season 2”, indicating that there will be places dedicated to the discovery and development of national talents.
He pointed out that there is full coordination with the competent authorities of the Ministry of Health regarding health procedures, pointing out that the workforce of the season is over 16,000 workers, including a large part are citizens.
