The Office of General Audit is collaborating with a number of agencies and ministries, including the National Anti-Corruption Authority, "Integrity", at the final stage of the establishment of the internal audit system, with a view to its implementation in the coming months after its adoption.
"The committee formed under the chairmanship of the Office of General Auditing is in the final stages of developing the structure for developing the results of the organizational environment of the external units of government bodies," said Bandar Al-Hazani, Director General of Systems Development and Policy in "Integrity".
He pointed out that the creation of units in all government agencies aimed to protect funds and public goods, to reduce excesses, to ensure the accuracy and regularity of procedures and financial and administrative data so to optimize the resources available and to be linked to the first person in charge of the organization to achieve efficiently and independently the achievement of the objectives.
He added that the development of regulations would improve the environment of internal control, as the development of unified regulation would help generate results reflecting the internal control work.
