A Saudi electrician recounted some examples of manipulations committed by some maintenance technicians from the expatriate workforce, which he observed during his work in the profession and encountered some challenges from them at the start of his work .
Electrician Muhammad al-Jahdali said that technicians of expatriate workers used to give prices lower than those set by him and those like him, in order to induce the customer to deal with them even if their job is to lower quality.
Al-Jahdali added that one of the methods of manipulation is for the worker to request more materials than necessary, or to change the prices of the materials on the invoices, or not to commit to completing the work, as he arrives in the last stage of finishing and does not accomplish what is asked of him.
He indicated during his meeting with the show “Saudi Street” on the channel “Saudi Arabia”, that this employment can be reduced by the dependence of the customers on electronic applications, and forcing those who work in these trades to obtain certificates. professionals.
For his part, the founder of one of the home maintenance apps, Faisal Al-Zahrani, said that most of the technicians on the streets are subjected to covert work because his godfather lets him work to get it from him. a monthly or yearly lump sum.
Al-Zahrani added that most of these workers are in occupations in which they have no experience and work in various occupations that they have learned after arriving in the Kingdom.
