Today (Saturday) businessman Hammoud Al-Saad Al-Brahim, founder of Panda Markets and co-founder of Herfy Restaurants, who has gone from a local group to a distinctive brand, passed away.
Al-Brahim moved between 1974-1980 in more than 10 jobs, during which he gained experience, notably through his work as general manager of a bakery and hotels, then he founded the company Panda .
Al-Brahim founded Herfy Food Company in partnership with Ahmed Hamad Al-Saeed, and he named it after the little sheep Najdi. It was the first restaurant in the Malaz district of Riyadh, next to the Al Khaleej bridge, where it held 70% of the shares through the company “Panda”.
In 1993, Prince Al-Walid bin Talal became his partner in “Herfy”, having bought most of the shares of the company “Panda”.
Herfy’s business grew after Prince Al Waleed bin Talal became a partner, and around this time his logo was changed to a mix of ‘sheep and cow’, while the biggest breakthrough came after the partnership with “Savola”, where the logo was redesigned in the current way, until it turns into a company. Traded on the Saudi Stock Exchange.
