The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture has banned shrimp fishing on the Red Sea coast from Monday, April 1, 2019. The authors of offenses have threatened to apply the fines of the amount of 10,000 riyals.
The ministry said it had made the decision to ban shrimp from breeding, maintain their strategic reserves and reduce their depletion through overfishing.
"The Environment" has announced the ban on shrimp fishing on the Arabian Gulf coast of the Kingdom from February 1 to July 31, 2019 to preserve this wealth with significant economic benefits.
