Guardian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman Ben Abdulaziz Al Saud on Wednesday approved the awarding of a third degree medal to 58 citizens after each of them had donated his blood 10 times.
Health Minister Tawfiq bin Fawzan Al-Rabiah launched the "Teen" blood donation in mid-March to raise awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation.
The civil and military medal system provides that the medal of merit is awarded by royal decree at the request of the competent services and includes three grades: gold, silver and bronze, and is awarded for the first time only to the third degree.
