Gulf Health Council Director of Public Health Dr Ahmed Al-Ammar spoke today (Thursday) on approved international vaccines and types imported by the Kingdom.
Al-Ammar said in an interview with “Saudi Street” on the Saudi Channel that there are 5 safe vaccines that are internationally approved and that the best and safest have been imported.
He explained that there are no medical differences between the two vaccines, Pfizer and AstraZeneca, used in the Kingdom, and the simpler one can be chosen depending on the date.
He added that the two vaccines are equal in efficacy and there are greater benefits in one than the other, and vice versa.
Regarding the symptoms associated with vaccination, Al-Ammar said they differ depending on the immunity of each body. It may appear after receiving the first or second dose, or may not have any worrying symptoms.
