The health ministry called on everyone to know the types of nutritional supplements and to verify their provenance, saying pharmaceutical companies are prohibited from selling or possessing them in several cases.
The ministry explained that pharmaceutical establishments are prohibited from possessing any quantity of pharmaceutical and herbal preparations without having documents proving the source of their purchase and their quantities.
It is also prohibited to sell or buy pharmaceutical or herbal preparations that have expired or are not registered with the General Authority for Food and Pharmaceuticals.
