Zakat, the tax and customs administration succeeded in thwarting an attempt to smuggle more than 8.7 million beans, which were found hidden in a consignment of “cocoa beans” received by the Islamic port of Jeddah.

The authority explained that a shipment received by the Islamic port of Jeddah – which consists of “cocoa beans” – and when it was submitted to customs procedures and detected by security techniques at the port, this large quantity of Captagon beans was found technically hidden inside the “cocoa bean bags.”

She indicated that the coordination was coordinated with the General Directorate of Narcotics Control after having foiled the smuggling attempt, since 3 people were seized out of this quantity inside the Kingdom.
